Wow! It is hard to believe that two years ago today, the modern tea party movement was born. As someone that was there from the beginning, I cannot help but to take a trip down memory lane. The idea for a tea party actually was thrown out to the masses by Rick Santelli when he had this rant about the mortgage meltdown on CNBC. The following day, after the video went viral, a group of conservatives on Twitter came together using the #tcot hashtag and had a conference call. I was on that call…See More
As you probably know, SEIU has been staging rallies across the country to protect the Unions that have a stronghold on some state governments. This is an issue that has become front and center over the past week in Wisconsin and now it is spreading to Ohio and Indiana. Today, the SEIU will be holding a rally at the Georgia Capitol in downtown Atlanta.
There is no doubt that the tea party movement is alive and well and today, we they will see just how strong we are as a movement when we hold a counter protest at the Georgia Capitol.
Please join other freedom loving Americans this afternoon at the Georgia State Capitol at 4:00 pm. This is late notice, but this event is just coming together. We need to stand with Governor Walker of Wisconsin and these other officials across the country that are willing to make the tough decisions.
Hope to see you there!
Date: Today, February 23rd Time: 4:00 pm EST Location: On the sidewalks across the street from the Georgia State Capitol. located at 206 Washington St., Downtown, Atlanta, GA, 30334
This planned attack is direct evidence the success of the tea party movement. If we were not having an impact, we wouldn't even be on their radar. Good job Patriots! Keep up the good work. The time is now and we must now back down!
From our friends at the Waco Tea Party! Gotta love those Texans!
Welcome to Georgia Tea Party Coalition!
Welcome Everyone!
Happy New Year! It is hard to believe it is 2010! It seems like it was only yesterday that this grassroots movement was born.
Many of us have been involved from the first round of tea parties that were held last February. Many of us have joined along the way. Regardless, the time has come for all of us to join forces and work to effect some real change in 2010.
If this year goes by anywhere near as fast as 2009 did, the midterm elections will be here before we can turn around. It is imperative that all groups, within the state and across the country, join forces and unify upon common ground. We all need to work together towards common goals. While not every issue may effect each and everyone one of us in our own communities, that doesn't mean that we cannot support other activists and patriots across the state and country. We can help others and by doing so, we will have a more unified effort and will be stronger because our army is larger.
One of the most important things we can do is educate. By educating people about the issues and the process, we are empowering these people and they will get involved in the process. It is imperative that we teach people to vote on principles and values and not according to the letter next to someone's name. This will enable us to take back our country!
We are looking forward to working with all of the great patriots across the state of Georgia. Together, we can make a difference!
If you are interested in volunteering to coordinate this state wide effort, please send an email to gateapartycoalition@gmail.com.
Wake up America! America is no longer a classless society. Actually, it never has been. Think about who founded this country and why. Our history teachers taught that America was colonized so common people could practice religious freedom and escape the oppression of a despot monarchy system of government. The truth is that the rich founded America to get richer. Let me give you one example, The Boston Tea Party…
